The Core Group of Action Contractors, Inc. has been involved in the construction of more than four million square feet of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings over the past 40 years. Our various capacities include carpenter-tradesmen, superintendents, project managers, corporate officers, general contractors, and owner-developers.
James J. Vecchio (Jim)
James J. Vecchio serves as the COO of Development Systems Ltd. and has directed the company operations for the past four years. During his tenure the company has grown from two employees and less than $50,000 in annual income to twenty-seven field employees and six office employees with more than $3,000,000 in expected annual income.
S.J. Vecchio
Sam has been in the construction field since 1956. He was a contractor in Las Vegas for carpentry and masonry until 1960. He returned to Cleveland and worked as a Project Manager for Mileti Construction, building commercial projects. He then built Kmart's for a period of five years. In 1970 he became a general contractor and developer, building office complexes, commercial strip centers, and warehouses.
Sal Vecchio
Sal graduated from Kenston High School in 1994 and continued his education to receive a BA in Political Science and Political Communications from Cleveland State in 1999/2000. He has worked for Action Contractors since 2003, as an estimator; currently Sal heads field operations & project management.
Jan Yanky
Jan started employment with Developers Diversified in 1978 as an assistant in the Construction Department. She worked for Developers Diversified (now DDRC) for almost 25 years in the construction/planning and development departments. She then worked as the assistant for John McGill of Heritage Development Company, and when John McGill started his own company as McGill Property Group, she worked as his Executive Assistant, until the company moved to Florida.
Michael Miller
Michael Miller earned a BA in math and economics from Wesleyan University in 2000. He then went on to earn a general MBA from Cleveland State University in 2004. Michael graduated as a member of the Betta Gamma Sigma honor society. Michael began working for Action Contractors, Inc in February 2007.
James Vecchio Jr.
James Jr graduated from Kenston High School in 2000, he then continued to expand his education at the University of Cincinnati. He has knowledge in field operations + management of crews. He excels in software programs such as: MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Project. He is also an expert user of ICE 2000 estimating software. He has brought his knowledge of field operations with him into the office, and has been estimating projects for 2+ years.
John S. Cardamone
John graduated from Orange High School in 1966. He attended Cleveland State for two years in Business Management. He was Operations Manager for Tuller Corporation, working primarily for major oil companies from 1968 to 1980. He was Vice President of C.F.D. Corp., working in the petroleum and environment fields from 1980 to 1988. He was Vice President of Cardamone Construction, working with the petroleum industries and government EPA projects from 1988 to 1995. He is currently the Vice President of J.T.M. Excavation, Inc., working in the private sector and commercial site work.
